SPOTTED: ArtEZ student Zoey Dor wins Britten Concours

It featured 39 young cello talents from all over the Netherlands. Once again, ArtEZ Conservatoire in Zwolle was the stage for the Britten Concours. Hendrik de Ryck was voted the winner in the 10-12 years category. Turdor Marin won the title in the 13-15 age category. The professional judges, including ArtEZ teachers of cello Karlien Bartels and René Berman, saw how the cellists inspired each other and challenged each other to great heights. All three winners will perform solo with the Britten Youth String Orchestra at the winners' concert in Theater De Spiegel in Zwolle on April 16th. Here, they will also receive their prize and be offered a master class by master cellist Gregor Horsch.
